IAA March To The River Don

Inverurie Angling Association would like to invite all anglers who fish the river to attend their annual March To The River Don on Saturday the 13th of February, to celebrate the opening of the 2016 fishing season

I'm taking the Mrs away for the weekend, so as much as I would have liked to attend I'll miss it

A photo oh the Barley pot yesterday. A fair old difference in the flow since the floods  much more to the rurie side and seems a better pool for it hopefully.

Yes, it will be interesting to see how the river has changed once the water levels drop back to normal 'ivdffs'.

Cheers

I know it's out of season and not on the fly but I couldn't resist a quick photo!  :z16

Not a bad fish for a cold day in February when the silver things were nowhere to be seen.

Next time I'll remember to pack my sink tips  :X1 :X2

Is there anything happening on the Don ?  Is everywhere  quiet ?

I fished opening day and saw two sea-liced  salmon come in  about 50  yards away from me .  Been down a few times since then but not a sausage ........

What's  the guy down the pub saying ? What's the street talk ?

Only been out twice so far and had a kelt each time at Inverurie but not seen a splash. Only heard of the fish at Kemnay AC water on opening day so far, early days so can only get better!

Not even had a kelt  , think the floods must have cleared a lot of them out .     Also had some hungry trout take my big fly .

It can only get better ...............
