There isn't a "wrong bit of the river" on the Don or the Deveron in my experience Rob, you just have to spend most of your time walking and watching :wink

Mixed results today but I was in good company.  I saw a fish that I hooked and lost yesterday again, it's a PB for sure! Unfortunately I put him down today and never saw him the rest of the day .   :X1

I noted a few more very good fish so will be back for them tomorrow.

I had good success on the dries during a mixed hatch. The usual 10-12" fish were keen, I also had several at around 2lb, a 2.5lber and a 3.25lber so another trophy!

Loving the Epic 580 as well so cheers Sandy!  :z16

It was a lot of fun Dude, had a great afternoon :z16

Especially now the water is clearing.

LDO's again accounting for the fish despite a decent March Brown hatch.

Some crackers in amongst them including two TF's :z12

Awesome fishing guys well done all and lots of great photos as usual.  I love having a look in to see the reports and some of the patterns that are working  :z16  I've a dormant membership of the ADAA so you'd never know maybe I will see some of you on the riverbanks again in the not 2 distant future.

I walk, I watch, I creep about, and I am not seeing much. :(

Last year I was seeing big fish on every trip in the same area. There were three bits where I could almost guarantee seeing (not catching) fish of 4-5lbs. They just have not been in those lies so far.

It could be due to the shifting in the river bed. What was once a great lie may be crap now. And vice versa...... The trout will still be around that location I'd imagine you'll just have to find them!  :z16

i've really enjoyed finding trout in some new spots this season.

Was out today, a few up to 2lb despite a nasty downstream gusty wind. And hail. We had some hail. FIsh still happily coming to a size 18 emerger pattern, and not seeming too fussed about snaffling MBs.

Anybody who was at the river bank today needs their head looked at…. It was baltic !
I had a good excuse, I wanted to try a custom dubbing blend put together by Andrew Ellis :z16

There was a reasonable hatch of olives but I only spotted three  fish all afternoon
Fortunately one of them was a steady feeder and liked the look of my fly.
Another plump trout heading towards the 5lb mark.  :z16
I’m pretty sure I’ve caught him before :? Away to look through my big fish pics.

and thanks again Andrew I appreciate your help with the blend. Looks great and the fish liked it too :wink
