Hi I have been teaching myself to flyfish over the last 3 months and have had great success  I have been using scierra tactical Tippet  as my leader I know tippets ment to attach to leader line  but I haven't had a problem with just Tippet to the braided loop is it ok just to use Tippet

I use tippets for my tails, I use a cast or a leader to my flies, please confuse me no further,       easgach 1

What is a tail? I just use Tippet from braided loop to fly was just wondering if it was ok to do so

I am referring to the Tail on a fly,using Golden pheasant tippets, I assume you had your tongue in cheek when you answered

Yes, it is fine to use level tippet when you are learning, You will find in the future that using a tapered leader in between your fly line and tippet will give you better presentation.

No I don't tie flies it has crossed my mind but that's as far as its gone lol
