With more and more Wels catfish being caught in the UK, including a 90+ pounder from the Seven, how long will it be before we start doing this kind of fishing ? :)

If they pull anywhere near as hard as their Asian or South American cousins then count me in!

I've caught countless numbers of  (stocked) Cats on the fly and they are definitely good sport i would imagine in the wild they'd be nuts!

That's a cracker!!!

Closest I got would have been the Asian River Cats that could be caught in the estuary in Brunei. Grew to about 8 or 9 pounds but new how to fight!! Very dogged and bore along the bottom.
