Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery report w/e 7/11/15
« on: November 08, 2015, 12:23:59 PM »
The past week has seen more favourable weather conditions with anglers enjoying good sport albeit they have had to work out the feeding depth and the most desirable lures.  In general the fish have been feeding deeper and although catches were recorded to nymphs, diawl bach, crunchers and buzzers the greater activity was recorded to lures. The best recorded catches for the week fell to; A Cowie, Fraserburgh, 24 fish, (fritz, blob), C Stephen, Fraserburgh, 12 fish, (white/pink blob), C Field, Fraserburgh, 11 fish,, (pink blob), J Dewar, Fraserburgh, 11 fish, (bloodworm, cruncher), P Cowie, Fraserburgh, 10 fish, (blob, cruncher), A McPherson, Llanhbryde, 9 fish, (black buzzers), M McPherson, Llhanbryde, 9 fish, (diawl bach), J Laing, Aberdeen, 8 fish, (orange blob).
The coming week suggests the weather to remain reasonably settled and hopefully yield good catches.
Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery is open seven days from 8am til dusk and booking is not necessary. Boats (where required) rods and tackle is available for hire at the fishery and visitors and novices are always welcome. For up to date information and enquiries phone Bob on 07980 999 006. :z15
