Liam,
With the amounts of flies you have tied recently,  I have to ask, do you seriously go through that amount of flies in a season.
I still have flies you gave two seasons ago and some sandy did for me last year.

Am thinking now that this would be the norm for those that tie flees, as I am betting sandy will have a flee box brisling with an assortment of dry killers for this season.

love the last batch

Fair point to make. I do go through a lot especially nymphing  (rocks, trees, trolleys, burnt out motorbikes, traffic cones, barrels, fencing and  rope were all left with a fly or two in them last season). Trout teeth take there toll eventually as well. My idea behind it is that I'm set for the whole season. I can afford to lose a lot and still have more. Meaning less time at the vice and more time on the river!

Most guys on here will be in full tying mode at the moment.  I know a few guys who will have almost full boxes (Scott, Sandy, Mike, Allan....) come on give us a peak!  :z7 :z4

Some more progress on one of my two dry fly boxes. This one is the early season box!  :z16

Seems like a very long way off still  :cry

Any chance of some step by steps?
I'm wanting to get some tying done before the start of the season (nymphs and simple dries) but not always sure where to start and what to tie.
I personally would appreciate some pointers on the simpler ones to tie (bonus if they catch fish).

Some more big Klinks as spares:

I'm just tying for the sake of tying now as my boxes are jam packed!  :z4

All the flies I tie are simple as I hate over complicated patterns! Have a look through the pages, pick a few and I'll get the SBS done for them. Plenty of time in my hands  :X2

P.S for anyone interested I have tied way more than I need so have spares. If you would like some PM me  :wink

You on commission Marc!?  :wink :z7

Got three of those for my dry flies and my small stream box, they are filling up nicely! For my spares I use the FM slim line boxes as they are cheap and take up no room, only problem is my spare box is full now. Time to get another I think :X1 :X2

Liam,
I see you’ve been busy over the winter months, nice flies :z16
I’m starting to get the itch, looking forward to the new season. I best get cracking and tie some flies,... or I could always pinch a few of yours. You seem to have plenty to go around :z4 :z4 :z4

Cheers

I need to get tying dries but can't get into it. Given that trout feed on subsurface food items 90% of the time, I figured these wouldn't hurt!

PTN (size 16 2.5ml bead).

Counting the days now!  :z16

It doesn't seem to matter what I sit down to tie.... I always seem to finish up with some sort of PTN style fly!  :X1 :X2

The Endricks Spider Jig:

I need to stop this nymph addiction!  :z7
