How did your last day go?

I thought it could be an interesting topic to hear how the last day of "Broonie" season went.
I was on the bank at 8am to some Harr blowing downstream. It cleared by 9ish when the sun burned through. I saw one or two fish rise but nothing major. Stayed till Midday then headed home with not an offer. I did see a beautiful Kingfisher which is the first one I have ever seen at 49 years young. So the day was not a blank after all. Hope someone somewhere had an offer or two.
