Africa fishing patterns

Strange question but has anyone fished in Malawi? I'm looking for patterns for a friend who works in a lodge in Malawi. He's fishing for  Yellow Fish, Cat fish and  Malawi Salmon (mpasa). I'm thinking of small streamers (he says the biggest fish are about 2-3kilos) but thought that some who have fished in foreign climes may have some suggestions?

Many thanks

Peter

Hi Peter. I asked a friend of mine who I thought might have fished there and he has. He went in to some detail on the fish one can encounter there but when it comes to patterns he wouldn't commit other than to say  the usual stuff you use for trout!  :z4 He went on to say nymphs, streamers and drys, basically take your box of each and that should cover it! So I hope your mate has got his trout flies!
