Where brown trout ?

Hi all new to the forum , Many years ago  i use to fish the river isla  a run off from the deveron ? i think . Use to get big brownies , Is it still fishable ?. is it still free or permit / private now ? . Looking for somewhere to go to catch good brown trout ,( none here in the river lossie ) . Any info on permits , where to fish etc, would be great ..

The lower part of the Isla is included in the Huntly Association permit, it also covers most of the River Bogie and 4 miles of the Deveron at Huntly.
