Glen of Rothes trout and coarse fishery
It has been a cold week and one for the dedicated of anglers. We did miss the heavy snow which was forecast and had only occasional showers of snow through the week and apart from this conditions although cold due to windchill it was fine for fishing on most days.Ice was not a factor as all lochs were clear. Those who fished had some good sport with many missed takes along with fish caught which kept the interest.David King had 12 fish with his best at 4lb 5oz,Willie Petrie had a good fish of 6lbs 1oz,Andrew More had 10 fish,Chris Boyle had 12 and his best was 4lb 2ozs,James Abel had 9 and a 4lb fish,Chris Johnston had 12 with a beautifull blue of 6lb 1oz,Neill Smith had an exceptional day with 24 fish and a Blue of 5lb 1ozs,Willie McRobbie had 15,Gary Gormley 10 and Jamie Arthur had 9.Best tactics and flies were Okey dokeys, appetizers, white fritzs and fished deep either free lined on intermediate lines or static under the indicator.
