Glen of rothes trout and coarse fishery

Windy conditions made it a hard week for fishing, with strong gales just not enjoyable for anyone to enjoy fishing in.When it wasnt blowing hard the fishing was good and plenty of decent returns were made throughout.Best flies varied between white and black fritzs along with okey dokeys which are well known for this time of year to produce fish and free lining them works very well. Some examples of this weeks catches were,Malcolm Bellemy had a 4lb 2ozs fish,Jimmy Rhind had 11 fish on a Zonker,William Aitkena beauty at 6lb 2ozs,Andrew More had a 4lb 1ozs fish along with a 5lb 13ozs,Willie McRobbie a 5lb 9oz,Charlie McPhee had a 4lb 5oz and a 4lb 7ozs fish,David Morrison a 4lb 10oz and Colin Adam had a 4lb 1ozs fish. Some anglers managed 8 and 9 fish in their sessions and with conditions this week averages were around 3 fish for most.
The club competition results this week saw Willie McRobbie take 1st Place with 2 fish for 9lb 8ozs,2ndCharlie McPhee with 2 for 8lb 12ozs,3rd Jimmy Rhind 4th Gary Gormley and 5th Place went to Andrew More with 1 fish for 5lb 13ozs.Next club outing is on the 30th November and is a fish as normal competiton. The Club Christmas comp and Games night is on 27th Dec for all members.

Coarse loch

Things are slowing now with mostly silver fish being caught, but those who fished this week did manage carp among their catches aswell. These were caught on boilies and meat.

Milbuies trout fishery

Millbuies will be closed for the month of Decemeber only so no bookings will be taken for that monthand open againin January 2015.Fishing has been good for those who have fished this week with some good fish being taken.Intermediate lines are best now and white and black flies best.
