« on: 18/08/2007 at 18:17 »
i was down in kemnay seeing my girls today and noticed a flooded quarry hole which has been very nicely land scaped and wondered if its going to open as a fishing loch or just a wildlife attraction.

does any one have any better information on this?

its on your right as you approach the quarry from inverurie side

Is it the one done by "Aggrgates" after they finished taking out the gravel? If so i have e-mailed them about it..no reply. Spoke to a local counciller who thought it was going to be a wildlife sanctuary. I was trying to get it as a coarse fishery as much of it would be unfishable with fly rods due to the high banks etc....ho hum!

the banks dont look so bad as they have been landscaped down but the overhead cables might cause problems as would the aquithie road
