Midmar Fishery

Had a trip up to Midmar fishery on Sunday, first time I've been there and was suitably impressed with the place.
Turned up about 11 and was the only person there at first, then a couple more turned up about 15 minutes later. Cast my line across the top pond and bang into a large fish within 5 minutes, sadly this one did not get to the bank even after a good fight, had another 8 for my day so walked away a happy chappy. My only gripe would be that there was thick weed at the bank as was difficult to return the fish without them diving deep into it.
Will deffo hit that place again soon

Hi Colin,

I haven't fished there for at least 10 years, since the previous owner had the fishery. Nice to know that it is worth a visit :z16

Cheers

I like it, it's normally quiet and you can winkle out a few fish. The bottom loch is normally angler free.
