After introducing two Welsh anglers to Haddo last year, and I know they visit the site occasionally, the Welsh guys would kill me if the spelling was not correctd, it is Diawl Bach I believe. It means I think "Little Devil ". Caught three fish on it yesterday on my club water. A very good nymph but what the heck does it represent?

Diawl Bachs are not green or black the following being a close approximation to the traditional dressing -

Tail - PTN or other brown feather fibres
Rib - Silver or gold wire but I prefer red
Body - Peacock Herl
Hackle - Ginger (brown)  cock or hen
