A rather perculiar weekend for fly fishing started off with a quiet Friday with little surface activity other than the odd roll or two on the water , fish seemed to be still in winter mode.
Saturday saw some gusting making the water pretty choppy but G .Ellington tempted a tough 3 with buzzers
I ventured out and managed to tempt 4 with an olive damsel and hares ear , missed a cracking blue but was too slow to land it.
Sunday made for a better days fishing with a full house with P. Keir getting 7 including a nice brown of 2.5lb with a skunk and cats whisker being the flies of choice.
