I've been busy all night laying down the basics. I've mastered the whip finish tool and my tying is improving nicely. Here's a handful which will be added to my box.



Half a dozen JT Olives tied on B400 size 14 and 16s. Comments on any improvements would be appreciated.

Hi Liam, I do keep SLD's and the full range of Veniard Osprey which are better hooks IMO.

It's caught me a 23+ inch Brownie and hooked a salmon of around the same size  . My go to early season dry fly.

Thanks for that. I will give it a go once I get the rest of my materials. Iain gave me a few copies a couple of seasons ago and I caught my first lb + trout! 




Which is the correct dressing of the above. Light olive or primrose thread and dun or khaki cdc? I think both look okay and I think the fish won't mind but was just wondering.
