Although this one was a nicer looking fish, but came on a gold Whillie Gunn tube out of season last April. Bare in mind thats a 14 footer in the photo and a Mach VI reel

See I do get out and fish :)

"early may... I'd make sure i had Waterhen Bloa's in a 12 and 14, DHE's in a 12 and 14 and perhaps a goldhead HE nymph in a 12 just in case"

Sandy - at the risk of appearing thick what is a DHE ? Dry Hares Ear?

Cheers

Colin

Sorry Colin :oops

A DHE is Bob Wyatts Deer Hair Emerger, we discussed it before in the flytying section last year. It was about the only dryfly i used all season last year. :z18

Thanks Sandy - I've been concentrating on Salmon for the last X years and missed this! I Should have just searched the forum, have now and lost some time reading up! All make sense now!

As I'm pretty time short at the moment (working away from home and lots of kid stuff at the weekends!) - anybody know the best place to buy DHEs ?

Cheers

Colin
