Glen of Rothes trout fishery

Lochs have continued to fish wellmainly with buzzers and fritz patterns,along with blobs.Its normal at this time of year when fish are as active looking for food that the indicator works very well.Fish certainly change from slow moving once hooked and do fight very well in the colder conditions.Some of this weeks catches were,Slater Scott with 14 best just over 6lb,Chris Boyle had 9,Ian Bremner 10,Andy Thompson had a nice Tiger,John Watts had a fish of 5lb 6ozs,KevMiddlemiss had 7 fish with his best at 7lb 12ozs.
The new club is now up and running and information is on the Club board at the fishery and will be on the web site for members to keep upto date on events and information along with facebook under Glenbuies flyfishers club.Applications are available at the fishery and membership is limited to 30 members.A waiting list will be in place after this.Please note that this is a seperate club and not a fishery Club.There will be the first Club competition in March 2014 for members.A meeting in Feb 2014 will be held for members ready for the year  and more information will be on the web page and facebook for dates.
The fishery will be closed on the following dates for any fishing.Dec 23rd,24th,25th and 26th,open on Dec 27th,28thand 29th and then closed again 30th 31st,Jan 1st and 2nd and then open as normal from Jan 3rd onwards.
The Festive fun competiton on the 22nd Dec is now closed for entry and will start at 9am and finish at 3pm.
