To be fair Hamish it's not usually as low and the sand spit is often mostly under water, and.......that's not the best fishing bit anyway  :wink

Was thinking of a wee GTG up there (Altnacaleagh Motel has a crackin wee bunkhoose room and will even do yer brekkie / eve meal so you can simply concentrate on the fishin).  Love Assynt, love Veyatie and Cama especially in mayflee time.

Some old photos (mid 90's) of a few fly cought Pike.

24lb on a Bunny Bug


25lb on a surface popper


22lb on a big marabou "thing" in green and yellow. Same fish as the 22 but a year later.


and lastly, an "old skool" carp taken on a Sharpes of Aberdeen "The Carp" 10 foot cane rod. Yip, Sharpes made one of the best cane carp rods of all time.
