Hi folks
Top of the water sport continued to be good at Haddo this week, but you had to get things right. Hamish Young certainly cracked the tactics when he set a new Haddo record, Hamish netted 51 fish up to approx 8 lb in a single 4 hour session!
Stonehaven's James Nicol fished the venue for the first time and lost count of how many trout he caught ( approx 20 ) and he kept a nice 17 lb rainbow for the table. Hugh Baxter also enjoyed a good seesion, netting 14 fish up to 9 lb, John Buchan had 10 up to 12 lb, Lloyd Rattray 19 up to 6 lb, Dave Olley 14 up to 4½ lb, Frank Thrall 15 up to 4 lb, Ronnie Birnie 15 up to 3 lb, Gordon Bird approx 20 up to 12 lb, Mathew Hines 23 up to 7 lb, Andrew Barrowman 18 up to 10 lb, Neil Paterson 12 up to 10 lb, Andrew Mott 14 up to 5 lb, Kevin Neri 13 up to 3 lb, Malcolm Mead 12 up to 4 lb and Kipps Kerr netted 16 fish up to 13 lb in his float tube ....... "a good tow"
Bill Bain won the Friday evening tackle competition ( and a nice wee fly rod ) with 16 fish up to 7 lb in 3½ hours
Not everybody caught fish in such high numbers of course, but this doesn't mean that they didn't enjoy themselves ........ Ross Higgins tempted a nice fish of 11 lb 12 oz, Raymond Bowen one of 15 lb, Peter McLean 9 lb, Charlie Addison 10 lb, Sandy Reid 12 lb, Damien Bruce 10 lb, Frank Sangster 10 lb, Brian Pickles 9 lb and Ian Dawson also netted a nice 8lb trout
Best wishes
