The second heat of the boat competition was won By Kevin Middlemiss with the other qualifiers Dave Buley,John Main and Willie McRobbie who now go into the Final 12 in August. The next and final heat is on July 7th where the last 4 finalists will be decided with names being taken now for this one.Plenty of fish have been caught over the week and the best fell to Kev McKenzie which was a 9lb Blue and was returned after being weighed and witnessed in the net.Blair Banks also had a nice blue of 5lbs,Jimmy walker had a good day with 16 fish and his best was around 5lbs,Nicky Bremner had 14 fish and his best fish a beaty of 7lbs,other examples of catches were,Eddie harrigan 8,David Orr 14,James Last 4,Mark Rushton 1,Graham Crosby 8,Tom Duncan 1,Colin Moffat 8,Andy Lambie 6,Dave Simpson 8,Neil Smith 10.Early morning and evenings sees plenty of fish rising and small traditional patterns are the best to have at these times with good sport being had by all anglers.Fish are certainly making themselves hard to come to the net once hooked and the aerobatics are exceptional. The water is clear as a bell at present and good to watch fish coming towards the fly.Under the treeline is a place not to be ignored when fishing on the hot days and will produce.Plenty of Blues are being recorded by anglers which is good to see and are between 3 and 4lbs in weight with a few larger specimens as in the case of Kevin McKenzies.

Please note all fish mentioned in report can be viewed on our website and facebook pages.

Why not take advantage of the weekender special deal and camp out.
