For anyon interested, I have taken in a small stock of McLean micro mesh net bags.  This will fit up to the round circular weigh net and anything smaller.

Hi Ben,

Are these nets the flat-bottom "pan" style or deep ones?

Pan style ones Ewan, no where near as deep as the netting original that is supplied with the McLean nets over here.

I've been looking for one that would fit the folding type I bought from your good self a while ago (see picture).

If it will fit this then could you please put one aside for me?  I'll be home at the end of the month.

Ben,

I have also a mcleans folding net and would prefer a pan style net, as the original is deep and tapered almost folding fish over when in.
If possible could I have one put aside until I get back from offshore.

Thanks
Geoff

Hi Ben

Are they the rubberised ones or the same one as I already have on on mine? If they're rubberised ones I'll have one too! :-)

Same as the one you have mate, surely yours must be worn out by now and in need of replacement?

Well, it has a few holes here and there but not big enough to let a trout through! Get some rubberised ones!

After speaking to Mr Goolager the other day, I've modified my MacLeans 17" weight net with a replacement mesh pan style net - bought a 'coarse fishing' landing net head new from ebay for less than a tenner.  (not the Greys bag that Iain had show me).

The net bag on the Maclean was driving me nuts - too long, and snagged on everything and anything. Mesh pan bag is much easier to deal with.  job done!
