Millbuies boat competition heats

This is the first ever Boat competition to be held at Millbuies and will consist of 3 heats in May,Jun(2nd sunday) and July 2013,held on the first Sunday of the month in each, apart from June where it will be the second sunday,.

1st heat May 5th
2nd Heat June 9th
3rd heat July 7th
Final Aug 4th 

Only 12 anglers per heat and the first 4 will go into the final to be held on the first Sunday of August.You may enter the heats as many times as you wish to qualify.
It will be decided by weighing in the heaviest 2 fish of your choice,plus 1lb for each fish returned.

Your controller will be your boat partner.

Start times will be 9am with finish and weigh in at 4pm.

To allow for timing of the start anglers will be at the car park/office at millbuies for 8.30 am for briefing.

All anglers must be in at 4pm.Any later than 5 minutes over this time at the jetty will result in disqualification and weights will not be counted.
In the event of a tie on weights,the heaviest fish in the bag will decide the placings.
Cost of entry is £25 all inclusive of fish/boat and entry for the heats.
The final will cost £20.

Cash Prizes in the final will be awarded for 1st,2nd and 3rd place.
Anyone interested are invited to place your name in the heat you wish to fish.Normal etiquette of fly fishing is expected with candr of fish and cleanliness of boats and waste nylon etc

We have a couple of places left for the first heat which is Sunday May 5th, and June is booking up well.

Could those who have placed names already confirm they will be fishing so as we can allocate places for anyone who cant attend.
We have also placed tagged fish into the lochs now for a bit more spice.

I've been shying away from fish kill competitions for a while now, (in fact i've been absent from all competitions for a while to be honest) so will probably leave it until it's a wee bit less crowded.

That's fair enough Allan,its all a bit of fun and for guys who have never fished a compy from the boat before.Fun is the name of the game.Fish were on the top last night which was good to see all we need now is better weather and we are off.

It did cross my mind to make it all catch and release,but 2 fish to weigh in isn't all that bad and 1lb for each fish returned.
