Millbuies Trout Fishery

Those who managed to get the right day on the loch with the gale force winds aside did well with very good fishing on various flies and dries did work at times with fish rising around the lochs.Clearance of fallen trees all done,to keep the lochs pristine and where any weed growth wa sshowing round the edges,were trimmed back and will help the fishing alot.NiGel Burgess caught 3,Gary Morrison had 8 best at 3lb 6oz,Gav Crombie on 2 outings had 7 with a 7lb 8ozs fish his best and 5 fish on his other trip,Mark Ure had 2,Al Gilbert had 2,John Main had 5 with a Blue of 5lb 4ozs,Fave McKay had 7,John Shearson had 8 and Graham Thom had 2.The first heat of the Boat competition is on 5th May and first 4 will qualify for the final in August.Anyone interested can contact the fishery and places are limited to 12 anglers per heat only.It is a great opportunity for anglers to experience a boat competition in Moray.
