I  have a regent lever vice I have had it for about 15 years now with no problems from 18s to salmon and pike flies, cosidering I started tying with a  pin vice over 50 yrs back the regent is a dream, easgach 1

I like my Anvil vice. Solid, £100 and takes 5/0 to 24 (according to the advert). I have gone down to size 20 Spider hooks with no issues.

Oh dear, yes, that is the one. I have had mine around 9 years now, and have used if for 6/0's down the way.

You do know they have a lifetime warrenty?

I have heard of the jaws going, but all have been replaced for free.

You must have been heavy handed to break one of those..lol

thanks, I have just called Somers who I prchased the vice from and they confirmed the lifetime warranty.
