Love the photos Sandy.  :z16
The pics are worth keeping for tying reference, so thanks for that.

I also now have a close up of your fingerprint to plant evidence, so thanks for that too.  :z7

After a long morning digging the garden i finally found my way to the Gate :z18

Now i didn't see anything rise, BUT.......................................

Guess who........Hurrah :z16 :z16 :z16

Now this was on the Ythan, but if they are hatching on the Ythan then they must be doing so on the Don.
I didn't go down till after 2 but the hatch was a steady trickle till 4 :z16

Some LDO's coming off too.

Looks like things are slowly coming to life in the NE

I chased the little bugger all over the reel, he didn't want to sit still. :z16
It took me an hour to get one in the first place :shock

The LDO was a bit different, none of my pictures showed the spur and with the Brick coloured eyes and yellowish tail end it made me wonder if it was a Dark Olive, but they don't have a history of being in Scotland. Either way its a male because of the Eyes and Tail, i think we can safely assume the spur is there :wink

Looks more like an olive upright rather than a LDO to me Sandy but could be wrong.

Bugger you beat me to it :z4

Iain is bang on Alan, the upright has a large hindwing like the march brown, the LDO has the small hindwing with a spur. As mentioned earlier.

An upright from last year :z16 like with iain's great photo :z16 you can clearly see the large hindwing.

Cheers
