Just when we thought that Spring had sprung back came winter with frost and snow.
Anglers at Lochter Fishery Oldmeldrum had a tough old week braving the elements and earned every fish they landed.
In the Scottish Team Fundraiser on Sunday Richard McHattie won with 22points with Kenny Riddell second with 11points just ahead of Kevin Neri with ten. Some of the top anglers in the area participated and a good sum was raised to help the team in their events this season
Earlier in the week bags included M Pirie with eight on an SWS .I Robertson four with the best weighing in at 6lbs and D Mair ten on blobs.
Fishing was greatly curtailed and the forecast is decidedly mixed so patience will be the watchword this week. Fortunately this is a quality which anglers have in abundance.
