Honestly Lindsay, it really is very effective in a MB hatch in about a #4 and works well for those selective trout that are refusing a CDC MB dun of correct with exactly the right number of perfectly crumpled tails and accurate veining on the wings.  Handful on anything lighter than a #5 though and not great on a 20' multi coloured leader  :z4
