Artloch Fishery

There have been some excellent rises at Artloch this past week and small dries, including the Black Spider, Black Midge, Black Beetle, Black Hopper, proving the most successful.

Dry baskets included V Janssen who tempted 13, I Sutherland released 15 while L Wood was top rod with 16.  Every angler on dries reported raising large numbers of fish and while not all took the fly, it was very good sport.
Buzzers, Wet Greenwell, Bibio, Nemeis, Black CDCs and Olive Damsel were also successful patterns and baskets included J Rennie who tempted 10, best at 4lbs, J Dailly who released 11, including a good 8 lbs bow, J Hart with 12.   S Ray had a nice brace for 8lbs 4 ozs and released a further 12, but top rod went to visiting anglers J Partridge with 15, best at 6 lbs.   RW Gartshore released a good 7lbs bow, while learner E Faultless landed a cracking 9lbs 7 ozs rainbow.
