A lot of good memories there Mike  :z16

Lots more to come Jim, will continue to prepare them as and when I get a chance

Wasn't sure about posting the "kept fish" photos as we don't do that nowadays, but as "a few photos from the past" I think it's OK :wink

It is interesting to see how Haddo has gone through and learnt from all the different stages of fishery management, the various species, from some pretty impressive Rainbows to the current fully catch & release Brownies!

Best wishes
Mike

Just looking at some of these pics again.
Mike there are a lot of firsts in here;

First float tube only day in Scotland, I think
First float tube any of us had seen
First cutthroat trout
First C&R only commercial loch
First real change to light lines

Pretty pioneering stuff there Mr Barrio  :z16

There have been some GREAT days at Haddo in the first ten years, so I am looking forward to the next ten.
Mike, we always spoke about it but never did it - how about an all night session on the longest day this year? Midnight barbie or a big pot of chilli, big trout in the dark, banter etc - sounds ace.

Thanks Euan :z16

First fly to catch a trout at Haddo as a fishery too :wink

Yes, a one off all night session might be good fun, let's try one :z3

Best wishes
Mike

Nostalgia is one thing but not if it risks the fishing Mike. You made the sensible decision in stopping tubing  :z16

... do we risk opening up to float tubing again in 2013

Would love to see tubing at Haddo again but it's hard to quantify the risk. I hung my tube & fins up in dry dock in the shed from Aug 2011- Sept 2012 to avoid any risk of cross contamination (I'd used my tube on a lice-infested water in 2011).

Enjoying seeing some of the old pics - good thread Mike!

cheers

If Mike still has tubes and waders, then there should not be an issue about letting tubing happen again at Haddo if equipment is hired from Mike.

I do miss tubing as well.
