Ah they will be for the benefit of our Easteren European cousins, they have Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve, 12 courses , one of them being Carp, its also a no meat dinner.
As carp only got to the UK as a food fish for the Monastories things have gone full circle  :wink

I have no problems with carp in the fishmongers, after all, they are bred for food. I do have an issue with them being stoledn from waters for food though, something that Scottish carp have suffered from.

Still, better than having undersize bass on the slab.
