A Fly Fisherman's Dream

“A Fly fisherman’s dream”

The bonny created artificial fly,
is
Flying through the morning sky.

Laid down with a precisive pace,
into a hopeful brownies hiding place.

Attached to line and rod,
as a creature of a lesser God.

An offer for a certain fish,
that’s hoping for a certain dish?

How fooled it is……..

The angler’s hunt is on,
hungry for the drill.
The catch is there, only when he’s won,
decisive to let live or kill.

The current whispers in the river scene,
along branches, rocks and shade.
The trout is hungry, rising keen,
the splashes that it’s made.

As the day is done, and the caught fulfilled
to,
a sturdy number of fish.
(I resume)
“Fishing the fly, no moment spilled,
it’s that, I’ll never miss.!!”

Nice, I'm assuming that it's one of your poems Jan?

Yes it is indeed Iain!

Beside the passion for fly fishing and tying, Poetry is one  as well!
Specially when I'm thinking back to the nice flyfishing trips last year, and the ones about to come I hope!
