You're absolutely right - :oops ... it's been hard enough learning the names of all the bloody flies let alone getting to grips with peoples handles !

It was definitely Liam who tolerated me the most through the season (maybe that was the real reason for the move down under !), but I did mean Noel (aka An Chuileog) who was my first introductee (is that really a word ?) - apologies Noel - the intention was right and the thanks heartfelt, just an old brain struggling to remember names.  You gave me a warm welcome and started me on the path.

Looking forward to seeing you guys this year.

Tim

Tim, what's with all this "old" business? If I remember correctly you are as young as me!!!!! Now, Iain (the fat bloke fishing downstream of me where all the fish have sore mouths) ya that fella. Now he's old.

Noel - I feel old when I have to describe to my kids what a "cassette" is !  Jeez  :shock !!!  I guess that comes from being born pre-decimalisation.

Now if you happen to be a beautiful young filly them I'm in my late twenties and the "sack face" comes from a lifetime of smoking, living in windy places and spending too much time outdoors - hasn't worked with the fairer sex yet but I'm ever hopeful.

For those I haven't met yet, I'll be the one thrashing the water to a foam and swearing profusely (another consequence of my upbringing - just think Father Jack and you won't be too far off).  Thank god the fish don't care who's on the business end of the line.

Here's to all the "old fellas" on the bank.  Tightlines and even sturdier zimmer frames !

Tim
