Nicley tied dude. Looks very like my "standard" dry since April, a JT Olive ( or Olive CDC Dun, if you pefer) but I like the short body and sparse wing on yours. Have you used Muskrat or Mole on the body ?

Hooked (but lost near the net) a fish on Tuesday evening on a size 19 JT so it is still doing the biz  It is such a visible fly on the water too.

Same pattern Lindsay but tied much shorter (picture doesn't do the shortness justice) on a 'different' hook style (unless you tie yours on a 2200Bl-B) . Floats like a cork.

Is the Varivas hook used for better hook ups from fish that "sook" the fly ? OOI what size of 2200BL are we talking here ? Might give that a go as I have a stash of them (but worried about the one that opened slightly - suppose I still landed the fish).
