it's grouse fibres, but that was just because my natural partridge eluded me at the time of tying.

no videos for ages, can't seem to muster up much oomph due to the poor weather and lack of sedge activity. but I do now have a leader to hand outfit/ set up and if the gods permit I might get a throw on Friday afternoon, with video.

Cracking fly as always Iain.  :z16 However, didnae work with my tricky fish (again) last night ! I reckon they were "smutting" in just that inch just below the surface ? Wouldn't look at anything.

That's the pattern that this one evolved from, the original being a favoured dressing too.
