Try it on a curved hook b100, or b110 for a wee bit more depth without the tippet tail.  Black Pearly Spider.
Can be lethal.

Crackin flies especially the Bumble, would happily use them all.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all the kind comments,

I've been looking at starting to tie classic salmon flies, but as you can see i've not quite got there yet....practice practice.

About to start studying Michael Radenich books i think.

Cheers,

Steven

Ahhh..classic salmon flies! I bought AHE Woods book and spent ages perfecting his salmon "March Browns" and so on...on Wilson low water "irons".

Had a clip box full of various pattens, only to have the whole lot eaten by mites before I used them!

Probably £300-400 pounds worth retail :(

Try Eric Taverners " Tying Flies For Salmon " if you can get one, probably one of the best breakdown books on the subject and the history of the flies easgach 1
