Haddo Trout Fishery ( to May 28th )
« on: 30/05/2012 at 20:53 »
Hi folks

The water was getting warm at Haddo during those few days of heat and I think this made the fishing a bit harder. It has cooled down quite a bit over the last couple of days and things are getting back to normal. Popular fly choices over the week included Black Pennell, spiders, Crunchers, Diawl Bachs, PTN, Hares Ear nymphs in both natural and olive versions, Black Fritz, Bloodworm, Klinks and CDCs.

Alex Burnett recorded the highest catch this week with 25 fish up to 2.5 lb for his session, Iain Howard netted 10 up to 5 lb, Ewan Lindsay 10 up to 2.5 lb, Alan Gourlay 10 up to 2.5 lb and first time fly fisher Sarah Deans tempted 4 fish up to 2 lb ...... Well done Sarah!

We held a wee get together on Sunday to celebrate Haddo being open for 10 years, it was hard fishing in the sun, but most enjoyable! Catches weren't recorded, but I think two or three anglers had 10 fish or more

Best wishes
Mike

Hi Yan

I have increased the forum max attachment file size to 500 kb, so clicking on the "Additional Options" link under the box when you are posting will bring up a menu that allows you to "Choose File" from your computer and attach it to your post.

Hope this helps ......... sample attached photo below :wink

Cheers
