Over the last couple of weeks black and green flies have been the favorite along with hares ears.
John Brown of ellon won the troutmaster fish off weighing in his 3 fish after just 20 mins bagging an extra 5 lb for time left and landed anothe 8 befor the end of the day upto 6lb8oz.
Steve Arjo and Steve Williams had 4 each. Alan barker had 14 in a four hour session. Keb Wedderburn had six while boat partner Mike Daniel had 5lb 8. American Dave Myrich had his first session fly fishing catching 4 including a 4lb blue all taken on damsels. Mike clark had 4 upto 6lb12 on a bps. Another new angler Bob Thompson landed a 4lb2oz rainbow on a dawl bach during his first lesson, returning at the weekend to to catch 2 brownies and a 4lb rainbow. Dennis Andrew and Dennis jnr landed 2 rainbows a brownie along with two perch all opn black and green fritz. J finnie and j chalmers had 7 and 5 on buzzers. Gordon lynch had a few sessions landing some decent brownies.
the coarse fishing is starting to pick up with the fish beginig to feed and are showing much more.
