Bit of a Bargain reel

Picked one of these up for the starting price so £38 delivered, not a bad price and that’s what they seem to be selling for. Might be a bargain for someone and they do bigger sizes.

These chaps are normally at the Scone Game Fair...have lots of interesting "older" reels at good prices. I am going to bid on the MachIVs as the whole reel is cheaper than a spare spool..if you can find one that is!

Thank you for that Paul. The Mach IV is for the Pike and I already have a couple of lines on order for it.

On the Salmon front, Ben has lent me a reel and line to try so I will see how i get on with that on Saturday.

Thanks again though, I had a look through the other lines and there were a few interesting bargins.

I have to say, I get most of my "unusual" and "specialist" lines  from Tacklebargins.  They normally have a good range of Pike/Saltwater/Bass/WTF lines in stock :)

I even managed to get a Cortland lead core shooting head for deep deep boat work for the Pike and I had been hunting for one for years. A tenner! :)

Hi again,
Yep it's a good site. Just a note of caution though to any beginners reading this. Do be careful about exactly what you buy, which means check with someone who knows first. It's awfully easy to accumulate stuff (particularly in the case of fly lines) which gets used once or twice, is,nt quite right and then languishes in the cupboard forevermore !

We,ve all done it  :wink

Paul.
