Beauly AC opening ceremony 2012
« on: 11/02/2012 at 15:11 »
Thought I'd share a few pics taken at today's opening of the club waters on the Beauly; we had cracking weather for it.
Was almost tempted to take a rod down with me, some did and apparently a few kelts and a baggot were caught before lunch.
Club president Paul Pacey reads a short poem:

then offers the traditional dram to the river in return for a good seasons sport:

Some really nice food and more than a few drams were on offer (pity I was driving :roll) for the collection of club members and families gathered (for a pretty good turn out) for the clubs opening day:

And finally..... the fly that had a couple of kelts. Who says salmon flies need to be 'complicated' :? :!

Season 2012. It starts now  :z13
Day tickets are available for much of the clubs fishings, details can be found at http://www.beauly-angling-club.co.uk/index.htm
