The Letter
« on: 08/01/2012 at 11:45 »
Well, a letter appeared on my door mat inviting me to join a certain angling club.

Looks like my options for trout and salmon have suddenly multiplied 10 fold :)

Just have to attend the "new members" meeting before getting my ticket.. :z16

Welcome to the 'club' guys, hope you get as much pleasure out of it as I did last season !  :z16

I had a walk at Parkhill today - big mistake.....just made me want to get out and FISH  :cry Hell, I might even have a go at the Salmon on the 11th Feb that's how bad things are  :shock

Its a rejoin for me with a 15 year gap so its going to be interesting to see what changes have taken place.

Got my prawns ready for the start of the season ;)

I'm going to join this year too. I obviously wasn't there 15 years ago but even in my time up here they seem to have done a lot of very positive stuff, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised Rob.  If you ask them nicely they may even stock a few pike for you.

Cheers

Know what you mean Lindsay, i had a walk along upper Parkhill, very bad idea just makes the waiting worse.
May consider some Salmon fishing now as i don't think i can wait till the start of the Trout season.

Got mine as well, not sure how I'm going to get this and a roving ticket for aberdeenshire past the wife though.
Oh and the Golf ticket as well.

No Rob, no rumours I just know your style  :z4

The ADAA bit on the Feugh is proper combat stuff.  6' 7wt and a 15' head made from DT12 would be a good starting point.
