I fished the deveron for Salmon today, alas no fish porn  :cry Still it was an enjoyable day, weather was great (for sunbathing) The river was quite low, but a nice height for the fly. It gets a bit busy when spinning is allowed.
I would suggest the Turrif Assocaition beat is a great place to start if you are new to Salmon fishing, nice size of river, most of it fishable from the bank, no difficult wading. There is also a good chace of a fish (when they are on) To me the cost is reasoable £30 for a days Salmon fishing, nice bothy with a toilet and tea and coffee, a nice wood burning stove if its cold.

Looks like a cracking beat Jim. The kind of fishy water where every cast you expect a pull  :z16

Time for a new camera though  :grin
