Hi folks

Don't think it will be long before we see more surface activity

I could be wrong ....... but was that a touch of spring in the air today?

There has been a notable rise in insect hatches and fly life along the bank over the last couple of days and the fish are starting to switch on to this.

Has anybody else been noticing it too  :z5

Best wishes

So ........ any useful suggestions for these early season rises folks  :z13

Flies fished just under the surface have been producing fish this week and casting these near the rises has worked

( approx sizes 14 to 18s ) .......... dark olive and black buzzers and spiders, Hare's Ear nymphs, wee Damsels, Pearly Pennell and Bibio

Out and out dries have "looked good" on top of the water and "felt right", but failed to attract takes so far

Best wishes
