August is becoming a bit of a pain, this changeable weather does not appear to be to the liking of the trout
They've become pretty fussy this week and although a good number rise for quite good spells during the day, they are not proving easy to tempt.
Lots of olives coming off again, but they are not always hitting them on the surface now ...... I wonder if they are taking the nymphs instead? Small nymphs retrieved very quickly appeared to work well this afternoon, but the rising fish continued to prove tricky on the dries?
Cheers
Mike
