Hi folks

Olive upwings have been around in good numbers this week and the competition at times between the trout and the swifts to get them has been great to watch, the brownies frequently jumping clear of the water!

The most productive tactics have been dry flies, mainly olives obviously, with DHE, Klinks, CDCs, Sedges, Hoppers and small Daddies proving popular. But Spiders, PTNs, Snatchers, Crunchers, Diawl Bachs, Montanas, Damsels and Black Fritz have also featured in the catch returns :wink

Paul Keir enjoyed a good session with a dozen fish up to 4 lb, Richard Hay also had 12 up to 3.5 lb, Colin Scott 10 up to 2 lb and Jim Adie netted 10 fish up to 2 lb. Most anglers tempted around half a dozen fish for their session and with so many folk fishing dries, the talk in the hut was frequently more about the fish that had been lost and missed, than about the ones that came to the net ........ lots of fun!

Best wishes
Mike
