Hello,

if i remember correctly there was a thread on here about a new fishery that was opening up in Maud, I think it was going to stock brownies only. Does anyone know if this ever happened ?

Adam,

The owners applied for permission to build a house beside the fishery and the council turned down the application. Because of this, the fishery has never opened. From what I remember, the owners claimed that the house was required for security but the council claimed that they were trying to circumvent the planning laws because they already had a house in the vicinity.

Ah ok. Thanks peter. Gutted that would have been a handy venue as my folks live in new deer, could have escaped then natter on my weekend visits. Thanks for the info.
