A strange old week at Haddo, the trout are in a funny mood and although some anglers have enjoyed great sport, many have found conditions quite challenging
Success has not been down to any obvious fly pattern, although Damsels perhaps scored a wee bit better. Deer Hair Emergers, Crunchers, Bibio, Buzzers, Bloodworms, Cormorants and Green Peas also featured in the catch returns and the brownies seemed to have a preference for anything black
Scott Sim enjoyed a great session and a personal best, tempting 34 fish up to 4 lb, Steve Wright netted 20+ up to 6 lb, Denis Mackay had 20 up to 9 lb, Sandy Taylor 17 up to 4 lb, Ian Brown 16 up to 7 lb, Brian Liebenberg 14 up to 4 lb, Stuart Smith 12 up to 11 lb, Ewan Lindsay 12 up to 10 lb, Steve Forrest 12 up to 5 lb, John Mann 12 up to 3 lb, Malcolm Mead 11 up to 8 lb and Graham Johnston caught 10 fish up to 3½ lb.
