Went to Midmar on sunday had a good days fishing with a friend,lots of fish rising but it took a while to see what was tempting them. Small buzzers did the trick caught two quickly then another nine on a wsw. Looking around ther area there was a few deer most of the day on the hill at the back of the house and the occasional woodpecker,lots of frogs about no doubt the trout will be feeding on tadpole's soon. Weed does not seem to be a problem at the moment but the management were taking time to take what was there out. My partner caught nine and we lost many more on the way in.5lbs was the biggest fish. Well worth the visit.
