Hi Jake
Welcome to the forum :z16

I guess you are asking about stocked fisheries? I think Delgatie, Lochter and Loch Insch are probably open, some of the others are still frozen.

Best wishes
Mike

Keep an eye on the fishing reports section http://www.fishingthefly.co.uk/forum/index.php?board=3.0  :wink
But asking here is good for feedback too.

Cheers

Has anybody been fishing at local stillwaters this weekend, what were conditions like where you were?

First weekend I have not been out this year. It seemed to never stop raining here. 6 nations may also have been a factor :z18 :cry :z6

Fished Lochter yesterday morning, only managed a couple of hours as the weather was miserable and bloody freezing.

Couldn't deal with cabin fever any longer and so headed out to Lochter for a few hours this afternoon. 90% ice free today but wet, windy and cold. i lasted 3hrs but still managed 8 rainbows. They liked goldhead GRHEs and Olive Damsel. Still drying and thawing out in front of the fireplace...

Olive damsels (particularly Goldhead ones) are one of my most successful flies too David. They seem to work in most places all year round.  They make an excellent "wiggley" movement when fished slow and on the sink of a sink and draw retrieve. Along with a Daddy Long Legs they are what I try when all else fails...!
