I have just read that Silvester Nemes passed away a few days ago.
Silvester was a soft hackled fly addict and he wrote some great books including: The Soft-Hackled Fly and Tiny Soft Hackles, Two Centuries of Soft-Hackled Flies, The Soft-Hackled Fly: A Trout Fisherman's Guide, The Soft-Hackled Fly Addict, Learn How to Fly Fish in One Day and in 1998 he wrote Six Months in Scotland, an American's view of it's Salmon Fishing, which included visits to the River Don and the Dee.
